Louis Vuitton, after an apprenticeship in Paris, opened his own box-making workshop in 1854. The iconic monogram canvas was introduced in 1896, featuring the iconic LV logo combined with the quatrefoils which was inspired by Japanese designs. Many designs have launched and patented ever since.
